Often, teachers focus on all of the stuff around spell casting but they ignore the spell casting itself! They'll teach meditation, and divination, and breathing exercises, and energy work, and they'll tell you all about herbs and tools but they neglect the true core of witchcraft: the spells!
Spells are the foundation of any witchcraft practice. Additional practices like divination, spirit work, energy work, crystals, etc. are all wonderful components to the craft, but spellcasting is really the core of the craft. This is why we become witches, after all! Spells are how we reach into the fabric of the world and make real changes to our lives. Spells are how we take back our power, how we create the life that we really want to be living. They are essential to any witchcraft practice!
